The Intergroup: a holistic approach to education and skills
The European Parliament Intergroup on the Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe has been launched to tackle pressing challenges such as the digital and green transitions, skills shortages, and the declining basic competences of learners. With nearly 100 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) supporting its creation, the Intergroup is committed to advancing the quality, equity, and inclusiveness of education and training systems across Europe.
Chaired by influential leaders in the European Parliament, the Intergroup brings together policymakers, industry experts, and civil society stakeholders to break silos and adopt a comprehensive approach to skills development.
A vision for the future
The Intergroup on the Future of Education and Skills for a Competitive Europe underscores the European Parliament’s commitment to equipping citizens with the tools needed to thrive in an increasingly complex global environment. EHMA looks forward to collaborating with other members to scale innovative educational initiatives and standardise best practices across the European Union.
EHMA’s commitment
As an active member of the Intergroup, EHMA is dedicated to improve the integration of health management competences within education and training policies. EHMA advocates for addressing the growing shortage of skilled professionals in the health sector by promoting lifelong learning, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives.
EHMA also highlights the critical role of education in building resilient health systems capable of addressing future challenges. By contributing its expertise, EHMA aims to ensure that health management is recognised as a key driver for achieving Europe’s social and economic targets.
