Cedefop’s ongoing project is deepening our understanding of how microcredentials support labour market-related education, training, and learning. Building on the first phase (2020–23), which explored their characteristics and value for learners and employees, the current research phase (2025–27) focuses on microcredentials emerging outside formal education, highlighting sector-specific initiatives by companies and professional bodies.
